Conference on Azerbaijan to b held in Rome

Representative of the Centre for Strategic Studies (SAM), chief editor of Caucasus International Zaur Shiriyev will participate in a conference titled “Azerbaijan in the multipolar world: opportunities and challenges” in Rome on Wednesday. The event will be organized by the Institute of International Relations.

The conference will include a panel on topic “Transition in Azerbaijan: security, democracy and development”, “Azerbaijan and Regional Security” and “Azerbaijan in a multipolar world.” An opening speech will be delivered by President of the Institute of International Relations in Rome Stefano Silvestri.

The conference will involve member of Milli Majlis Sevinj Fataliyeva, executive director of the NATO International School in Azerbaijan Huseyn Panahov, ICG Caucasus Project Coordinator Sabina Freiser, Carnegie Endowment Thomas de Waal, Heritage expert Ariel Cohen and other experts.
