
The Shahdag winter and summer tourism complex already attracts foreign tourists wishing to enjoy the winter days in Azerbaijan. The construction of the Shahdag Winter and Summer Tourism Complex started in September 2009. The Complex is situated in the Shahdag National Park, 32 km from the center of Gusar. The facility is located 1300-2300 meters above sea level. The Shahdag Winter and Summer Tourism Complex is the first alpine skiing resort in the history of Azerbaijan.
Nine aerial cableways opened as part of the first stage. A hotel in the elevator base has 40 rooms, restaurant, bar, cafe, shops, conference hall, medical point, 10 lifts and a parking lot.
Those wishing to take advantage of the ski slopes and cable ways here need to pay 20 manat. Amateur tourists need to pay just 10 manat. The services offered here is cheape in case tourists stay more. For example, if one night stay is 20 manat, weekly fee will be just 84 manat. In this case, a one-day expenses totaled only 12 manat. Equipment and appropriate clothing for skiing are offered here.
