Research of Azerbaijani seismologists appraised

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) during discussions held on its annual meeting has praised recent activities of Azerbaijani seismologists.

Gurban Yetirmishli, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences, general director of Republican Seismic Survey Center (RSSC) of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Center’s engineer-programmer of earthquake investigation Vugar Farajov have recently visited USA.

In the framework of their visit, the Azerbaijani seismologists participated in the annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union, ANAS press service office told.

In the meeting, the world seismologists expressed desire to cooperate with ANAS representatives. Mr. Gurban Yetirmishli also participated in the NATO summit meeting.
