
The State Migration Service of Azerbaijan continues to tighten control over the legality of the stay of foreign citizens in the country.
The Service reports that in November 1,932 foreign persons were brought to administrative responsibility. As a result, residence of 292 foreigners in Azerbaijan was legalized, while 1,520 migrants were ordered to leave the country within 48 hours, and 119 foreigners were deported. As a result, last month the country was expelled 1,639 foreigners.
Among the foreigners deported from Azerbaijan there were 28 citizens of Russia and 27 citizens of Turkey.
