More Facebook users recorded in Azerbaijan

 Facebook is still the most popular social network in Azerbaijan.  As of 7 December, Azerbaijan accounted for 900,000 users of popular social network Facebook against 604,200 as of early January of this year and 279,100 as of January 2011.

According to Socialbakers, over the past six months, the number of Facebook users in Azerbaijan grew by 138,660 people or 15.09%, in three months by 46,280 people or 5.04%.
The growth in the number of users within a month made 20,860 or 2.27%, 20,800 or 2.27% within the past two weeks.

Azerbaijan is already 83rd in the rating of the number of Facebook users. The reason of Facebook popularity is that users can create blogs, groups and presence of famous companies and organizations and presence of web pages of world brands.

It is above Georgia, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Belarus, Latvia, Armenia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the rating. According to Sociabakers, social network in Azerbaijan is used by 11.07% of the population (7.28% in January) and 21.74% (16.38% respectively) of the total number of internet users of the country.

The greater number of users in Azerbaijan is at the age of 18 to 24 years old. Most of the Facebook fans in Azerbaijan are still men -63%.

This indicator made 65% in October and 64% in the beginning of the year.

Odnoklassniki social network is also very popular in Azerbaijan and it has over 500000 users, but the users growth has stopped, because the network unites former classmates and these people are usually older than 30.
