Baku metro upgrades its central station - PHOTOS

Baku Metro has already launched work on the reconstruction and modernization of the 28 May station, Baku Metro reported.
 
Under the reconstruction work , the station’s interface will be completely changed, in particular, the work will affect both the entrance of the  station and the platform. The 28 May station will be completely modernized, as the stations of  Icherisheher  and  Koroglu , Baku Metro reported.
 
The 28May station will be closed to passengers for a short period of time, the source said.

Baku Metro has been operating since since 1967 and has 23 stations. Earlier a 20-year program of Baku Metro development has been adopted. In accordance with long-term development scheme, in the future its overall network will consist of five lines compared to the current two.
