Azerbaijan joins “Woman’s Role in Development” conference

Chairwoman of Azerbaijan`s State Committee on Family, Woman and Child Problems (SCFWC) Hjran Huseynova has participated in the 4th OIC ministerial conference entitled "Women's Role and Regulation in Economic Development of OIC Member Countries" in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Mrs. Huseynova, as part of her visit, has met Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policies of the Republic of Turkey Ask?n Asan, chairperson of Kuwait's Women's Affairs Committee Sheikha Hussa Saad Al-Abdullah, UAE`s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Maitha Salem Al Shamsi, Pakistani Minister of Women`s Affairs Husn Banu Ghazanfar.

The Azeri Chairwoman at the meeting with Indonesia`s Minister of Women's Affairs Lasijah Sutanto discussed a memorandum of understanding. The conference decided to hold its 5th ministerial conference in Baku in 2014.

Hijran Huseynova delivered a speech at the Indonesian television.
