Azerbaijan, Switzerland eye educational cooperation

Azerbaijan and Switzerland have discussed prospects for developing the bilateral educational cooperation as the Swiss ambassador visited the Ministry of Education.

Sabine Ulmann Shaban met minister Misir Mardanov, who said education played an important role in developing the Azerbaijani-Swiss relations. The Minister praised the application of high technologies in Swiss education system, adding Azerbaijan was interested in benefiting from this experience.

Ulmann Shaban expressed her country`s interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan. The ambassador highlighted a new scholarship program for foreign students carried out in Switzerland, adding Azerbaijani students may also join the program.

Mardanov stressed the importance of establishing direct relationship between the two countries` educational institutions.
