Quake hits Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea

An earthquake measured at a magnitude of 4.0 occurred early Tuesday in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, National Seismic Survey Centre reported.

According to the report, tremors were registered at 1:13 am local time, 38 kilometers north-east of the Lankaran city at a depth of 9 km.

The quake was not felt.
