As part of Azerbaijan Culture Days in Moldova, a park named after genius Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi was opened in downtown Chisinau after major overhaul. A bust to the poet was also unveiled in the park.
The solemn ceremony was attended by the Azerbaijan`s delegation as well as Moldovan artists, poets, writers, officials and ambassadors.
Speaking at the event, President of the Azerbaijan-Moldova Congress Vugar Novruzov spoke about the creative activity of Ganjavi and his contribution to the world literature.
Speakers also included Moldova`s Culture Minister Boris Fokcha, Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Adalat Valiyev, Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Moldova Namig Aliyev, Moldovan intellectuals.
