New design of address labels in Baku are considered

The State Committee for Property Affairs of Azerbaijan has submitted to the Cabinet Ministers a design of address labels to be installed on streets and avenues with introduction of the address register.

The Committee reports that after the Cabinet approves the design of the plates, they will be ordered in South Korea.

"The quality of new address labels will not yield even to European ones, and in some ways even will be ahead of them," it was reported.

The Committee points out that at primary stage it was finished assignment of numbers and names to about 80 streets and avenues of Baku.

Azerbaijan will apply new methods of assigning names and numbers of buildings, streets and avenues from 1 January 2013 as part of creation of register of addresses. Since 1 January the country will introduce numbering of buildings on entries of houses and exits of property objects.
