Some 736 road accidents occurred in Baku in  January-September 2012 killed 234 people and 831  were injured, Baku State Central Traffic Police Department spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Vagif Asadov said.


About 271 accidents (109 dead, 243 wounded) occurred due to speeding, 112 (36 dead, 175 injured) - for violating the rules of overtaking and bypass, 63 (12 killed, 86 injured) - improper roundabouts.

The department provided video of road accidents spotted by the Safe City camera system.
