US diplomat visits Nakhchivan State University

 Ambassador of the United States to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar visited the Nakhchivan State University (NSU).

Richard Morningstar familiarized himself with Ernest Hemingway`s Scientific Research Center, which operates from 2003 at the university and its campus. Rector of the university Isa Habibbayli spoke of care and attention to the development of science and education in Azerbaijan touching upon the importance of the international partnership from the point of view of integration to educational system.

Isa Habibbayli provided information on development paths, structure, material-technical base and international relations of the Nakhchivan State University.

“Nakhchivan State University is a member of the European Rectors Club, the Asian Association Universities, the Association of Universities of Black Sea Sector, the Rectors Society of Eurasia Silk Way University and the Unity of Caucasus Universities,” he added.

Richard Morningstar shared his impressions on Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the university. The sides also discussed interuniversity cooperation, organization of video conferences aiming at development of virtual relations and other issues.
