
Some 85 facts of human trafficking were revealed in Azerbaijan as a result of operations conducted in the 10 months of 2012, says the annual report submitted by Azerbaijan’s National Coordinator for Combating Human Trafficking Vilayat Eyvazov to the Azerbaijani Parliament.
2 facts of forced labor were revealed in the reporting period. Two organized gangs and six criminal groups were rendered harmless. 20 were detained over these illegal actions, 3 of the wanted were detained. 10 persons were sentenced from 5 up to 10 years in prison over the human trafficking crimes.
