
Construction of six new highways is scheduled for next year in Azerbaijan, Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov said.
He said here will start construction of a number of roads in 2013, while others will be put into operation. Mammadov noted that the road project envisages the construction of 112.1 km of road in the direction of Hajigabul-Bahramtepe, 94 km road in the direction of Agsu-Kurdamir-Bahramtepe, 85 km road in the direction of Kurdamir-Yevlakh, 20 km road in the direction of Goychay-Ujar and 18 km road in the direction of the Barda-Tartar. In general, 40 bridges will be built on these roads.
