Interior Ministry comments over video released by former university rector

Police officer Rovshan Abbasguliyev, who figured in a new video released by former rector of Azerbaijan International University Elshad Abdullayev, was dismissed by an order of the Interior Minister from law enforcement bodies for serious violations in February 2008, Azerbaijani Interior Ministry spokesman Sadig Gozalov told Trend on Monday.

According to Gozalov, along with him, a number of employees of the Ministry were dismissed for similar actions.

A video was released on one of the social networks, which recorded Abdullayev's conversation with employees of the Interior Ministry's department on the topic of disappearance of his brother Mahir Abdullayev. In the video the police officer says that Mahir Abdullayev is kept in the Department for Combating Organized Crime.
