“The temperature in Baku and Absheron peninsula is 3 degrees above normal at present, but the anomalous temperatures have not been recorded yet.
Higher temperature has been recorded in October of the previous years”. Asif Verdiyev, chief hydrologist of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry’s National Hydrometeorology Department said.
He said the temperature recorded now is typical for October: “23-35 C recorded now cannot be considered anomalous. 27, 28 even 29 degrees were recorded in the previous years. The warmest temperature for October was forecasted in 1930. That year the maximum temperature was 35.1 C. Since then the highest temperature was recorded this year, on October 9. The temperature was 32.7 C that day”.
Asif Verdiyev said warm weather will be observed in Azerbaijan during the upcoming 3 days
