Azerbaijan, US eye cooperation in healthcare and medical sciences

 Azerbaijani minister of health Ogtay Shiraliyev has met US ambassador in Baku Richard Morningstar to discuss the cooperation between the two countries in the healthcare and medical field.

Shiraliyev said the Azerbaijani government and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed two memorandums on “The improvement of first medical aid” and “The development initiative of emergency aid”.

It was stressed that the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria carries out programs in Azerbaijan.
