Education Ministry to issue certificates and diplomas to school graduates

The Ministry of Education is going to issue diplomas and certificates to Azerbaijani graduates from now on.

This is due to changes in 'Conception on assessment of education system in Azerbaijan' ratified by Cabinet of Ministers decree as of January 13 2009, the Cabinet of Ministers reported on Thursday.

Single examinations will be held on Azerbaijani history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology and foreign languages.

The decision on the format, time and place of examinations has to be made by State Student Admission Commission.

Changes have been made in 'Accreditation rules in schools', ratified by Cabinet of Ministers' decision N167 as of September 28 2010.

Accreditation Commission will now carry responsibilities for analysis of knowledge assessment of scholars. Specification, assessment of knowledge level to bring the content of education and the level of training together with the requirements of state educational standards.
