Azerbaijan struggles against low-grade talk shows

The National Radio & TV Broadcasting Council of Azerbaijan has declared its primary goals.

Today Council’s chairman Nushiravan Maharramli has stated that their priority for the closest period is to fight against TV talk shows with low intellectual level designed for unfortunate families and people with failed personal life.

"The Council is also concerned with broadcasting of movies for adults by some TV channels in not suitable for this time and in the afternoon," Maharramli said.

He added that non-observation of norms of the Azerbaijani language by TV hosts and use of foreign words by them also causes concern of the Council.
