
The newly appointed Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Choi Suk-inn has today visited Azerbaijan University of Languages. He met rector Samad Seyidov who congratulated him on his new appointment and wished success in his future activity.
Seyidov informed the ambassador of the higher educational facility`s activity, including its achievements and international relations. The rector also spoke of the bilateral ties between the two countries in all fields, stressing rapid development of scientific and educational cooperation.
“The Korean language has being taught at the university since 1994. Today, nearly 40 Azerbaijani students are learning the Korean language at the university. Two Azerbaijani students who have a got one-year course at a higher educational institution of the Korea Republic have returned home. Four other students of AUL will leave for Korea this month to study there.”
Seyidov said along with Western languages, the languages of Eastern countries, including China and Japan and others are being taught at the university.
The Korean envoy praised the relations between the two countries, and expressed hope they would continue developing.
