Some 28 kg drugs seized in Azerbaijan

An Iranian citizen, engaging in illegal drug trafficking in Azerbaijan’s Jalilabad region, was arrested.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that as a result of operational searches conducted by the employees of the Regional Office of the Anti-Drug Department in the Southern region, 11 kg 209, 8 g heroin and 17 kg 279, 66 g hashish were found and seized from VAZ-2107 of resident of Malikgasimli village of Jalilabad region Yashar Ahadov. Ahadov and his friend, an Iranian citizen were arrested in Barbest.
