
Some 900.83 mln manat ($1.147 bln) from 1,448.1 mln manat allocated to the Transport Ministry from the state budget-2012 and international financial institutions for development, improvement and maintenance of transport-road complex of Azerbaijan, has already been spent during the first quarter of the current year.
The Transport Ministry reported that during the reporting period, 111.2 mln manat from 180 mln manat allocated by the Purposeful Fund "Azerbaijani Highways" for major maintenance of highways, has been spent during Q1, 2012.
Moreover, 2.5 mln manat from 5.8 mln manat, allocated from the state budget fro provision of State Automobile Transport Service, Baku Passenger Transport Ltd and Intellectual Transport Management System, has been spent during the reporting period.
Some 326.9 mln manat from 775 mln manat, allocated on the basis of interstate agreement for realization of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway construction project, has been spent during 2007-2012. Of these, 47.1 mln manta has been spent in Q1, 2012.
