Center of Culture and Solidarity of Azerbaijanis hosts iftar in Moscow

 The Center of Culture and Solidarity of Azerbaijanis functioning in Russia has organized the iftar dinner on the occasion of the Holy Ramadan.

Invitees included heads and representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora and public organizations, Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s Russia Office, Azerbaijan’s embassy to the Russian Federation, Muslim organizations of Russia, scientists.

Prior to the iftar, famous Islamic theologist Gasim Karimov told of the significance of fastening in the holy month of Ramadan. The event was also attended by Vice-President of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress, chairman fo the Azerbaijani Culture Society “Ojag” Tofig Melikli.
On behalf of Azerbaijani ambassador Polad Bulbul oglu, congratulations to the guests were conveyed by counselor for diaspora affairs of the Azerbaijani embassy Agshin Aliyev.

The participants saw a video about the activity of the center of culture and solidarity. Chairman of the organization Namig Shahpelengov told of the plans of the Center, future projects including opening of education centers in Moscow, assistance to Azerbaijani students.
The official part of the event was followed by a concert.
