Holy Ramadan month begins

The Month of Ramadan begins tomorrow. Yesterday was the night of Niyat (intention). Ramadan Holiday will be celebrated on August 19 or 20 depending on Shavval new moon (hilal) sighting.

The Caucasian Muslims Board and Shamakhi Astrophysical observatory prepared a special schedule and reminder for those keeping a fast.

The enforcement of order, indicated in the table, is entrusted to Cadis, plenipotentiary representatives, akhunds and imams. Lailatul Qadr, night of Qadr will be at nights from 18th day to 19th day of Ramadan, from 20th to 21st, 22nd to 23rd, 24th to 25th, 26th to 27th.
