Excavator kills schoolboy who buried himself in sand

A tragic incident occurred in Balakan, the Regional Police Office reported that the incident was recorded at the Katekh river yesterday.

Resident of Ititala village, 13 year-old boy  Khajiyev buried himself in the sand after swimming in the river. At the same time, the excavator collecting the sand from that river divided 13 year-old boy in two parts.

During the testimony, a driver of the excavator told the police that he had not seen the child when he worked and it resulted with such bad incident. Balakan Region Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out investigation into the fact.
