Media issues to be discussed in Baku

The "From Traditional to Online Media" international conference will be held in Baku on July 17, the Press Council told Trend today.

The event will be held at the initiative of the Press Council, the Baku office of OSCE, Council of Europe and the British Embassy in Azerbaijan.

The heads of media outlets, representatives of the online-media, local and international experts, independent journalists, as well as officials of state and government will attend the conference.

The three sessions will be held. The problems occurring by replacing traditional media for the online-media, international standards applied in this area, peculiarities of Internet governance, the situation associated with the legal framework in this regard, the role of social media and social networks in the society, as well as other issues will be discussed.
