State Universities of Baku, Moscow boost coop

Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) Victor Sadovnichy has visited Baku State University (BSU) where he met rector Abel Maharramov.

During the meeting the sides discussed the current state of and prospects for scientific and education cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia. They also discussed cooperation between Moscow State University and Baku State University in scientific, education and innovation spheres.
Maharammov briefed Sadovnichy on the history, activity and international relations of the Baku State University. He noted the BSU had close relations with Russia`s leading scientific centers.
For his part, Sadovnichy praised scientific and education cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia. He donated books published by MSU to BSU.

During the meeting Maharramov and Sadovnichy signed a document on extension of the cooperation agreement inked between the two universities five years ago. The agreement envisages exchange of students and teachers, implementation of joint scientific grants.
Sadovnichy also toured the University.
