National discussion on creative generation held in Baku

A national discussion called "Creative generation: Future is born today" has today held in Azerbaijan`s capital.

The event was co-organized by the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SAM), the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Youth Foundation.
Director of SAM Farhad Mammadov said that the aim of the event is to hold discussions on Azerbaijani youth`s future opinions.

Mr. Mammadov noted that head of the Presidential Administration, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev`s fundamental work entitled “Azerbaijan`s idea in the context of creative nation in the 21st century” has been published few weeks ago in the press.

“This is the first public discussions on the work. Of course, the scientific community and civil society will also share their views to the effect. Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev`s book deals with topical issues of state and civil society building nowadays.

SAM`s director also noted that the event discusses Azerbaijan`s transformation into the new postmodern society, economic, political and social aspects of the modernization and youth role in this process and presentation of all suggestions put forward by the youth to the Presidential Administration.

Addressing the event, rector of the Baku Slavic University Kamal Abdulla touched upon the serious scientific analysis in the book on the strategy established by national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev`s policy.

Secretary of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers Chingiz Abdullayev and other speakers stressed the important of the discussions. The event also featured sessions and dialogs.
