Irali PU joins seminar on youth and democracy

As part of preparations for the European Year of Citizenship (2013), British Council in the capacity of national agencies for implement the Youth in Action program in the UK has organized a seminar on youth and democracy in Europe "Listen Up - Young Voices for Democracy!"

The aim of the seminar is to demonstrate successful projects that have changed the way young people see democracy and how they can contribute to democratic processes at local, national and international level.

The events brought together about 50 youth from 34 countries. Azerbaijan was represented by Vusala Mammadova, the member of the Irali Public Union.

Within the seminar, the youth held presentation of the countries or organizations they present.
In her part, Irali PU member informed the participants on history, activity and implemented projects of PU.

At the end of the seminar, the participators were awarded with certificates and presents.
The Youth in Action programme provides young people and those working in the youth sector, with a variety of opportunities for nonformal and informal learning with a European dimension.
