Earthquake hits Azerbaijan

An earthquake measured at a magnitude of 3.0 occurred Wednesday in Shirvan region of Azerbaijan, the National Seismic Survey Centre reported.

Tremors were registered at 1:15 am local time, 31 km southwest of the city of Shirvan.

The quake was not felt. Shirvan region is located 120 km southwest of Baku.
