Azerbaijani, Latvian CECs eye coop

The Central Election Commission (CEC) in Azerbaijan, Latvia and the OSCE Baku office are working on a project to enhance professionalism among members of local election commissions.

Experience sharing between members of local election commissions in Azerbaijan and Latvia is planned at the first stage, the CEC told Trend.

A delegation composed of members of the CEC Secretariat and chairmen of district election commissions will be sent to Latvia in the frame of the project.

The Azerbaijani delegation will meet with the Central Election Commission of Latvia, local election commissions, at the Constitutional Court, Office of the Ombudsman and the Regional
Administrative Court in the frame of the visit to Riga.
