Georgia, Azerbaijan mull issue in sphere of elections

Chairman of the Azerbaijan`s Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov on Wednesday met his Georgian counterpart Zurab Kharatishvili here.

Addressing the visitor, Mazahir Panahov noted that the country`s election commission cooperated with several international organizations, as well as election communities of the world.

“Influence of the neighbourhood relations which existed between the two countries is very estimable”, he added.

Zurab Karatashvili, in his turn, expressed importance of further development of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the relevant sphere. He also invited Mazahir Panahov to observe Georgian parliamentary election, which will be held on October.

The sides stressed necessity of mutual exchange of experience and discussed prospects of cooperation. Following the meeting, Georgian delegation become familiar with the working conditions existed in the country`s Central Election Commission.
