New metro stations will be designed for more wagons

The platforms will be considered for reception of 7 wagons in new stations of Baku Metro, deputy chief of Baku Metro Arif Resulov told APA.

Remind that, the existing stations have been considered for 5 wagons and the length of the platform is 100 m here.

New stations include all the stations to be constructed from Avtovagzal in direction to Bakhikhanov settlement.

Resulov noted that repair works at the main entrance of 28 May station will last until September. To him, 3 escalators will be replaced with 4 other new ones. Resulov said that as a result of the repair, the length of the platform would not be extended: ‘Current measures for 5 wagons are satisfactory’.
