
The permit (license) was issued to Baku High Oil School for staff training by the order of Education Minister Misir Mardanov, rector of Baku High Oil School Elmar Gasimov told APA.
According to the rector, the admission of students was declared at the high school in 2012 to “Oil and gas engineering” and “Chemical engineering” specialties belonging to the 1st specialty group.
Gasimov said that the specialist training would be realized within cooperation with British Heriot-Watt University on the basis of education program meeting the demands of the international standards.
The Baku High Oil School under SOCAR was created by the presidential decree on November 29, 2011. The school’s statute passed state registration in the Justice Ministry on February 29, 2012.
The education in the high school is for a period of 5 years and free. The State Students Admission Commission implements the admission of students to the school.
