Azeri schoolchildren awarded in Turkey

Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Cicek honored Azerbaijani pupils Asiman Goyayev, Nazrin Mammadli and Abbas Aslan with gold medals of the 10th International Turkish Language Olympiad.

The awarding ceremony brought together Azerbaijani schoolchildren and teachers and diplomats in Turkey.

According to chairman of the Turkish Language Olympiads organizing committee and deputy speaker of Turkish Grand National Assembly Mehmet Saglam, 1,500 foreign students from 135 countries came to Turkey for the Turkish Language Olympiad, which was organized by the International Turkish Education Association (TÜRKÇEDER).

This year`s competition, which is to run from May 30-June 14, will be held in Ankara and ?stanbul. The theme of this year`s Olympiad is “?nsanl?k için el ele” (Hand-in-hand for humanity).
