Azerbaijani media outlets to attend seminar in Brussels

Representatives of Azerbaijani media organizations will participate in a special two-day seminar on “The situation of the news media in Russia and the Eastern Partnership countries”, which will be held in Brussels on June 6-7, 2012.

According to APA, this seminar will bring together a number of journalists from EU countries, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. The aim is to explore the role of the European institutions and the media in supporting political, social and economic reform in the region. At the seminar, the journalists will have an opportunity to discuss the issues with Members of Parliament and senior officials of the European Commission and European External Action Service, and also learn about the EU institutions’ communication tools. APA Group’s Director General Vusala Mahirgizi will also participate in the seminar.
