Baku Metro will be modernized -3D-PHOTO

Baku Metro will gradually change the old escalators to more modern ones, Assistant to the Baku Metro Head Mammad Bayramov  reported.  He said the process of replacing the old Soviet-made escalators has already been launched. Particularly, the escalators at the Icherisheher metro station were changed.
 
"Modern escalators will be installed at the new stations that are under construction,” he said. He said the reconstruction of the main metro station May 28 will be launched from June 10. The reconstruction work also involves the replacement of the escalator. 

Such modernization work is also required at the metro stations of Sahil, Elmlar Akademiyasi, Nizami and Khatai. "Replacement of the escalators at the stations will be carried out gradually," he noted.
