Five more hotels get 'star' in Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism conducted a state classification of hotels and hotel-type facilities in April and May.

Five more hotels passed the state classification. "Star" category was assigned to them, the Ministry said today.

Thus, "Hilton Baku" and "?ron" became "five" star hotels, "The Crown Hotel" and "Royal" - "four" star hotels and "Consul" hotel - "three" star hotel. All these hotels are operating in Baku.

At present, about 508 hotels and hotel-type facilities operate in Azerbaijan. About 336 of them work with the licenses issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. About 72 hotels and hotel-type facilities received the "star" category.

There are about 22 five-star hotels in the country. Two of them are located in Gabala, one in Naftalan, two in Nakhchivan, the rest in Baku.

There are 33 four-star hotels and hotel-type facilities in the country, 15 - three-star, 1 - two-star and 1 - one star.
