
According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR), currently, water richness holds 80-170% of decade norm in the rivers of Major Caucasus, 80-100% in the rivers of Minor Caucasus, 110-140% in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara zone, while 10-15% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.
Water consumption holds 390 m3/sec, i.e. 656% of decade norm (in 2011, 109%, being 757 m3/sec) in Giragkasaman settlement of Kura river, while 230 m3/sec, i.e. 156% of decade norm (in 2011, 142%, being 282 m3/sec) in Ayrichay settlement of Ganikh river.
At present, water level holds 397 cm (On May 29, 2011, 712 cm) in Surra settlement, 271 cm (On May 29, 2011, 633 cm) in Shirvan region, 218 cm (On May 29, 2011, 580 cm) in Salyan region, 224 cm (On May 29, 2011, 385 cm) in Banka settlement, while 105 cm (On May 29, 2011, 440 cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
