Debates underway on seismic risk mapping of Baku

Delegation led by the expert of the Japan’s OYO International Company Masakazu Takahashi has arrived in Azerbaijan today.

Press service of the State Republican Seismological Service of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences told APA that the aim of the visit is to hold final discussions on the preparation of “Risk mapping for the Baku’s seismic microzoning” project.

Today, final discussions on the preparation of “Risk mapping for the Baku’s seismic microzoning” project have held in the State Republican Seismological Service with participation of the representatives of the related organizations.

Takahashi informed in detail about the considered work within the project and procedures of its implementation.

Director General of the Centre Gurban Yetirmishli made proposals on the last version of the project.

Than the sides made a decision to complete work and submit the project to the government of Japan in late August, 2012.
