Major bridge in Azerbaijan to be reconstructed

The concrete bridge across the Velvelichay river located on the 2508-kilometerof the Charkhi- Sarvan ferrying will be reconstructed this year.

Head of the engineering works management at the Azerbaijan Railways Infrastructure Department Ahmed Humbatov said the reconstruction is linked with the safety issues.
 
"The length of the bridge is 79 meters, and it consists of six spans with the length of 11.80 meters each. The bridge was constructed on seven pillars,” he noted. “ The reconstruction work also includes strengthening of  the coastal and intermediate supports, replacement of spans, etc.”
