Cultural cooperation in focus of Azerbaijan, UAE talks

zerbaijan Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev met with visiting Deputy Minister of Economy of United Arab Emirates (UAE) H.E. Mohamed Bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi and his accompanied delegation on Thursday. The sides discussed the expanding of relations in cultural and tourism spheres between the two countries.

Stressing the importance of bilateral cooperation, Abulfas Garayev said that the reciprocal visits between Azerbaijan and UAE serve development of relationship. Azerbaijani minister also highlighted the redevelopment works held in Azerbaijan.

“Azerbaijan hosts some very important international event. Today the heart of the Europe beats in Azerbaijan as the 57th Eurovision Song Contest is held here,” he added.

Mohamed Bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi praised the Eurovision 2012, which is held in Baku for the first time as a high level cultural event and wished success to the contest`s participants. The UAE delegation expressed confidence the bilateral relations between the countries would be further developed.
