Radical group neutralized in Azerbaijan

A special operation against the radical religious group was held in Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit City. APA was told by the law-enforcement officials that police sought through the shop “Islam” located in the territory of Sumgayit and found compact disks containing addresses and slogans against the Eurovision 2012 song contest in Baku and popularizing radical Islamist ideas.

Owner of the shop Ali Aliyev and ten others campaigners against the Eurovision contest were detained.

Compact disks with addresses against the Eurovision 2012 song contest and popularizing radical ideas have been spread in Baku and Sumgayit recently.

The disks were supposedly prepared in Iran.
