Construction of Baku Metro new building is underway – PHOTOS

Constriction of the Baku Metro technology building is underway next to the second entrance of the May 28metro station in the Nasimi district of Baku, Baku Mtero Deputy Director Arif Rasulov said. The construction work runs at intensive pace.
 
"As you know, new stations and metro lines are under construction today, and all this leads to an increase in the amount of equipment. The old building of the Baku Metro is not big enough.. Therefore it was decided to build the technological building,” he noted.

"The technological building will house all control points, control systems. The second floor will house offices of metro employees, the 3-4th floor – control points. Commissioning of the new building is expected in 2013,” Rasulov noted.
