
According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry currently, water richness holds 70-100% of decade norm in the rivers of Major Caucasus, 65-105% in the rivers of Minor Caucasus, 100-140% in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara zone, while 20-25% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.
Water consumption holds 417 m3/sec, i.e. 60% of decade norm (in 2011, 101%, being 705 m3/sec) in Giragkasaman settlement of Kura river, while 280 m3/sec, i.e. 141% of decade norm (in 2011, 110%, being 218 m3/sec) in Ayrichay settlement of Ganikh river.
At present, water level holds 403 cm (On May 21, 2011, 704 cm) in Surra settlement, 277 cm (On May 21, 2011, 612 cm) in Shirvan region, 228 cm (On May 21, 2011, 536 cm) in Salyan region, 232 cm (On May 21, 2011, 373 cm) in Banka settlement, while 116 cm (On May 21, 2011, 438 cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
