Draft of " Greater Baku Regional development Plan" to be presented in July

The State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan is finalizing first stage of «Greater Baku Regional development Plan" elaboration.

Head of work group of " Greater Baku Regional development Plan" elaboration Novruz Eldarov has reported that the first stage involves gathering background information on the region.

" The experts are currently preparing initial version of " Greater Baku Regional development Plan" scheme. Current situation in the region will be presented at the first public hearing to be held in July-August 2012",- N. Eldarov said.

In his words, analysis of current problems will also be presented both in urban planning sphere on the whole and urban planning process management , in particular.

" Within the project elaboration the experts already have main idea on prospects of Greater Baku development for the next 20-30 years. Main development trends will be presented to public at the 2nd public hearing in November-December 2012",- N. Eldarov said.
