New Khatai- Hazi Aslanov metro line to be constructed

The construction of new line from Khatayi station to Hazi Aslanov station of Baku Metro will be started next year, chief of Baku Metro Tagi Ahmadov said.

He said there will be 7 stations between Khatayi and Hazi Aslanov stations:m ‘Currently, a Ukrainian company is conducting design works at the site. Besides, works are carried out on launching a metro line in direction of Kohna Gunashli and Yeni Gunashli’.

Speaking about preparations of Baku Metro for Eurovision-2012 song contest, Ahmadov said that information kiosk had been installed at all stations: ‘The foreigners can obtain any information from these kiosks in English. At the same time, ask question about the stations from guides. English language courses have been opened for metro guides, 50 persons had been trained. Baku Metro is ready for Eurovision-2012’.

As to steps in case of underground density during the contest, Ahmadov noted that increase of wagons would depend on the number of passengers.
