About 375 houses damaged by landslides in Shamakhi

The number of houses damaged by landslide is increasing in Shamakhi region of Azerbaijan. The landslide activation caused damages on 150 houses more. Chairman of local emergency commission Gasim Gasimov said that currently there are 375 houses in disrepair in the region.


 Most of the damaged houses are located in Mughanli, Gushchu, Birinci Chayli, Meysari, Dedegunesh, Sagyan and Birinci Chagan villages. It was decided to build new houses for the residents of damaged houses. Experts examined the territory allocated for the new houses and now geological-engineering work is being conducted there. The government is expected to make final decision on the construction of new houses.
