Ecology Ministry makes announcement over popular marches

The Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry received requests on the arrangement of popular marches to “Heydar summit” located in the area of “Shahdag” National Park on the occasion of the anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev from various organizations, inclusive of Air and Extreme Sports Federation of Azerbaijan (FAIREX), and Alpinism Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The marchers of popular marches to be organized on the route leading to “Heydar summit” situated in the territory of “Shahdag” National Park on the occasion of the birthday of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev on May 4-11, 2012, were exempted from entry fee fixed for the tourists traveling the high mountainous areas of “Shahdag” National Park.

Nevertheless, the documents defined by the Alpinism Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan based on the requirements of the present legislation, as well as personal questionnaires reflecting sports practices, professional skills of marchers and other data, and in which affidavit on the bearing responsibility for any possible risks during the period of travel, have not been submitted to the certain bodies of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources yet.

There is little time left for filling and submitting of certain questionnaires to the Departments of Protection of Biodiversity, and Development of Especially Protected Nature Areas. All participants are requested to submit filled personal questionnaires to the abovementioned Departments. Those persons not submitted the documents specified by the legislation will not be able to get permit for the entry to the area of the National Park. Pursuant to the rules of the National Park, illegal entry to the area of the National Park will not be allowed.
